GWF: The PvE PoV
We've had a taste of Factions content thanks to the Preview Weekend. Here's your chance to sound off.
Do you like what you've seen, or is it all a re-hash?
Too much choas in those hidden PvP missions, or could you hold your own and shine in Random Groups.
Enough quests to whet your appetite or was it too little for your taste?
Sound off here!

Actually I enjoyed it. The distance between town/outposts made running a breeze with my Warrior(which my runners mind translates into easy gold); mobs were different with a tough AI pattern to bust and henchmen (on a whole) were unique compared to the stock 8 we had to choose from in GWP and effective. Quests were pretty cool; challenging and diverse giving much to map exploration. I enjoyed the missions, Kurzick and Luxon and look forward to the story once Factions comes out full.
But I tried to make an even count of pro, neutral, poor choices so everyone gets a say.

The Factions Preview Event was pretty good, even thought I didnt get to far. Personally I would actually want to go from level 1 through 20. The main reason why is to get a feel of all the skills for the Assasin and Ritualist. Thats just my honest opinion

I am more less indifferent, I am not dispointed. I am indifferent about the hole thing. I do feel a little forced to pvp. I also feel there is a little less freedom in the game. I love the graphics and love some of the stuff in Gw already. I have seen some waring signs of fighting in the game. This is bad news in the long run, It may get worse. It all remains to be seen.

It's good. I'm intrested how ANet will incorperate ballanced items and skills into the game. I'm also intrested in seeing how ANet will keep the Guild Wars economy steady when Factions is released.

I voted "I'm not Sure, but I want to see more" because I couldn't really tell from this event.
All the characters for this event started at level 20, and that was a good idea. Cutting players off from their cash by not allowing access to storage and cutting players off from the 20 skill points that they should have for being level 20 was a bad idea. Because of the latter, players would have had to farm loads and loads of experience in order to get enough skill points to actually test some of the new skills and game mechanics out. It was dissappointing.
Here's a synopsis of what my FPE was like:
When I first got on for the event, I couldn't access my money or my stores of crafting materials, so I couldn't test out the new armor. Then I went to the skill trainer and realized I didn't have a built up store of skill points to test out the new skills. Ok. Fine. So then I went to try out some of the new alliance 12 vs 12 battles and realized that my new character didn't belong to my guild because I had to create a new account for the event because A-Net didn't provide extra character slots.
So then I'm like, screw it, I'll just go explore the new PvE areas and enjoy fighting the new monsters with the measly amount of skills I started out with. That went ok, until I tried to zone and got an error message. I got on the forums and found out that boundaries for the PvE area were kinda small and that the area I had tried to zone to wasn't available for the event. Needless to say, I didn't get back on for the rest of the event because it was pointless. There was nothing new I could try out.

I said "Change is good but this was a little hectic...". I still have some reservations about things, but that won't stop me from buying it. More info would have been nice though, I left the event with more questions than I went in with.

Just a preview weekend. They didn't give us access to all of the terrain and locations. We didn't see the FoW/UW equilavent. We didn't see much at all actually, but it was just a preview weekend.

My opinion is unchanged about Factions still after a 1 hour of playing factions. Lots of new monsters, skills, and gameplay. It had me hooked when I saw that Nika the Assassin of the Girls of Gaming magazine. Now, I can only wait until the game comes out.
I preordered the game.

I am glad that I had the fullest chance to play this preview. My monk lived for 38 hours 30 minutes from start to finish. It was awesome to explore the Echovald.
Some quests and rewards probably will be nerfed because they were more than likely overpowered to accomodate the skill farmers.
The alliance thing seems like an interesting thing. The smallest of guilds will not be shafted as hard as had been feared. It's the medium-sized guilds that are getting the worst of it this time.
Overall, I'm looking forward to merging my two accounts with the Canthan material. Good job Anet!

I'm going to reserve judgement until the game comes out. I suspect that there will be some skill tweaking between now and then, and a few other thiings.
I'm not sure I like the factions / alliance idea - There's already talk about one side being heavily overloaded with the top rated PvP guilds.
